Welcome to ECOSS35
It is a great pleasure to announce the 35th European Conference on Surface Science which will take place at the University of Luxembourg, Belval Campus, Luxembourg, from the 23rd to the 28th of August 2020.
ECOSS is a traditional annual meeting directed jointly by the Surface Science Division of the International Union for Vacuum Science, Technique and Applications (IUVSTA) and the Surface and Interface Section of the European Physical Society (EPS).
The conference provides an excellent opportunity for scientists from Europe and from all over the world to meet and discuss the latest advances in the physics and chemistry of surfaces. Furthermore, it is a forum to discuss the impact of surface science in the related innovation fields such as heterogeneous catalysis, two-dimensional materials and graphene, nanoelectronics, bio-nanoscience and energy materials.
Luxembourg is well known for its cosmopolitan flair, and is a most vibrant and truly welcoming country, drawing business and leisure visitors from all over the world. A flourishing economy, an active commitment to research, the recent best worldwide rankings regarding personal safety in the capital and a state of the art infrastructure build an ideal backdrop for international meetings.
